Rediscovering Old Clothes

When I reached fifteen weeks pregnant, my everyday clothes started to feel just a bit too uncomfortable. So they all got packed up in a big box and put in the spare bedroom and off I went in the search of maternity and very stretchy clothes.

Ofcourse these clothes have either been sold or gone to charity and I found myself living in jeans or leggings with a variety of baggy tops. Then six weeks ago I braved the box of clothes to see what I could fit into. I'll be honest, there are still some items which are a bit too snug, but most of it is perfect.... yippee!

I have always been a hoarder when it comes to clothes. A colleague of mine has the strict rule that if something hasn't been worn in a year, its goes to charity. But I've always had a wardrobe ranging in sizes 8-14, and when my body and shape has changed as much as it has in the last year, these different sizes are very handy. And luckily they are mainly summer dresses and skirts which in the last few days have come in very handy!

Now this would be when I upload photos of all the rediscovered outfits, but as much as I try to take the photos/ selfies, they just won't come out right thanks to lighting, trying to get the right angle and having a baby therefore not being able to spend an hour doing a mini photo shoot.

But have a rummage through your wardrobe when you get a chance, you may be surprised and find a few forgotten treasures.

Oh Hello Sleek Make Up

I've been looking for ages for a brilliant and affordable eye shadow palette and last week I found it! Hurrah!
After hearing good things about Sleek Make Up and having a good nose at their brilliant website, I went on a search to find them in Norwich.

I ended up buying two items. The first was the Eau La La Eye Liner pencil in Cocoa.
I've been on the hunt for an eye pencil which was waterproof and smudge proof for my wedding later in the year and this is brilliant. I love a gel eye liner, however for my water lines I prefer to use a pencil. The Cocoa is a lovely dark and rich brown, perfect for Autumn and Winter, but a little too dark for summer and the wedding, so I'll probably buy this in a lighter colour and with twenty colours to choose from, I will defiantly find the perfect colour.

Then I found the much anticipated eye palette. The I-Divine in Au Natural for only £7.99
The twelve colours are perfect for either a day or night look, or in my case, the get it on and looking good in two minutes whilst the baby is asleep look.
On the box you also have a few little tips on how to create different looks (more available online as well). I haven't used the sponge wand which comes with the set as I am a fan of a brush instead, but just in case of an emergency I won't throw it away. There is a very dark brown and a black for eye liner as well and the brown especially will be perfect to help create the 'smokey eye'.
But again the price is perfect when on a budget and when I get the chance, I will invest in the Oh So Special palette as I love the pink and blue colours, but if I could afford it, I could easily buy all sixteen sets!

Sleek is available at selected Boots and Superdrugs and you can buy online.

A Small Introduction

I think the title of this blog explains most of it, but let me tell you some more.

My parents, friends and fiancé have always called me Missy, and the previous blog I had was called 'Missy Blogging'.

This year after seven years together, my fella and I are getting married. He proposed last May when we were in New York and then two months later we found out we were having a baby. Both have these have changed my life, and as I write this the baby monitor is on as my little boy sleeps upstairs.

I never thought I would write another blog, but when I started my maternity leave I ended up having 8 weeks to relax, rest and get ready for the new arrival. I started reading blog's again and also became a fan of YouTube Vlogs. Both of these have made me realise I want to create a new blog for this time in my life.

When you have a baby your life changes forever, and when everything settles down you realise you've got to 'merge' your old life and your new one together, and this is where my life is at the moment.
